On Sept.28, the day of Confucius birthday and Confucius Institute Day, Azerbaijan’s beginning ceremony of Chinese remote teaching class was held at UNEC.
The vice-chairman of Aliyev Foundation，Leila Aliyeva (The eldest daughter of President Aliyev), the executive chairman Alekbe Rolf, the Chinese ambassador to Azerbaijan Guo Min, the headmaster of the Azerbaijan University of Economics Muradov, the Confucius institute sings of Azerbaijan University of Languages’ s director Rafik Abbasov, Chinese director Li Jihua and some teachers and students participated in this activity.
Ambassador Guo pointed out that he was glad to see that the Chinese education in Azerbaijan is progressing day by day. The Chinese government encourages the young people of the two countries to learn each other' s national language to further promote understanding and friendship between each other.
With the positive efforts of the Azerbaijan University of Languages' Confucius Institute, the online distance training courses of Chinese teaching for Azerbaijan students has started in mid-September. This course is aimed at Chinese beginners in Azerbaijan, and it offers professional learning skills, such as listening、speaking、reading and writing. Each course lasts for 3 months, 3 times a week, and each time lasts for one and half an hour. This training program will keep carrying on continually.
At present, students are signing up actively. Initially, two class will be set up. The learners needn’t to be productive. By the time of finishing the study, they will gain the certificate of graduation. Excellent students will have chances to go to China for further study.
This network teaching project is led by Aliev Foundation. Azerbaijan National University of Economics provides teaching site. Confucius Institute in Azerbaijan University of Languages is responsible for specific teaching. Akshin·Aliev , the Doctor in Beijing Foreign Studies University who has Azerbaijan nationality, takes charge of grammar explanation.
