In order to further enhance our students' awareness of staying away from drugs and cherishing lives as well as enhance their ability to identify drugs and ensure their physical and mental health, a special lecture on anti-drug knowledge education was held in the meeting hall in east campus at 13:30 p.m. on March 20.
The lecture was presided over by Mrs. Shi Hang of the International Student Management Department of International College, translated by Mrs. Wu Haiyan and addressed by Zhu Yuanjun, the deputy of Huzhou Public Security Bureau Intelligence Reconnaissance Brigade of the Drug Control Detachment. Besides, Feng Jianjun, director of Public Security and Fire Service of Security Department, together with the instructor of Huzhou Public Security Bureau Longquan Police Station Wu Genlin also attended the lecture.
At the beginning of the lecture, some questions were asked by Zhu to the international students through interactive rewards, such as: Do you know what the drug is? Is there any punishment for taking drugs in your country? Then he used marijuana proposed by international students as a cut-in point, with the video explaining what the drugs are and the basic knowledge of drugs.
Next, Zhu used some vivid cases which happened around us to warn the students that the drugs are not far from us, as well as ring the alarm bells to the students. Then, he used the idiom “be a gentleman first and a soldier second” to warn everyone about the seriousness of drug use, and admonish everyone to make friends cautiously. If you break the Chinese law, the police will never be tolerant.
Then, he introduced the dangers of drugs from traditional drugs to new types to educate students how to prevent and resist drugs and stay away from unhealthy entertainment venues.
Finally, Zhu made an appeal to all students: always be vigilant, cherish life, stay away from drugs! Consciously resist drug temptation and actively participate in the fight against drug abuse.
At the end of the lecture, Zhu, along with the teachers, gave awards to the international students who won in the anti-drug knowledge competition.
Through this lecture on anti-drug knowledge education, not only deepened the students' understanding of anti-drug knowledge, but also enhanced the awareness of knowing drugs, banning drugs and refusing drugs, and created a strong anti-drug atmosphere on campus.
