On September 28, in celebration of the annual Confucius Institute Day, Azerbaijan National University of Culture and Art, a teaching site of the Confucius Institute of Azerbaijan Language University, launched a theme event called "The Chinese Dream". This activity covers Chinese theme photography exhibition, Chinese dance performance, Chinese musical instrument performance, Chinese Medicine cultural experience, tea art performance and so on. It has brought a unique audio-visual feast and Chinese cultural experience to the local people.

At the beginning of the event, the President of Azerbaijan National University of Culture and Art, Cheilan Mamudova, delivered a speech. Firstly, she welcomed the guests and said that China has a long history and profound culture. Cooperating with Confucius Institute plays a very important role in the future development of the University of Culture and Art, and it also has a great significance to the mutual friendship between Azerbaijan and China. She hoped that there would be more cooperation with Confucius Institute in the future, and wished Confucius Institute better and better.

At the Chinese theme photography exhibition, the students of Confucius Institute who came to China to attend the summer camp this year exhibited the works they had filmed in China. The exhibition works include Taihu Lake scenery, Shanghai Pudong, the Great Wall, the drum tower and so on, the different and beautiful landscapes of China aroused strong interests of the audience.

During the stage performance, the teachers and students of Confucius Institute brought the performances of Chinese classical dance, national instruments, tea art performance and other programs. With elegant classical music, the contestants of Chinese Bridge this year Nana and Mei Siyu broughtThe Jing Hong Danceand Falling Flowersrespectively, which were charming and graceful, and showed the dance of Han and Tang Dynasty. Chen Qianqiu, a teacher of the Confucius Institute, brought cucurbit flute solo Banboo in the Moonlight, melodious and appealing, the melody ensorcelled us. Teachers of Confucius Institute Chen Xiaozhen and Wu Jingjing brought tea art performances, antique tea sets and unique tea-making techniques which aroused strong interests of the audience in Chinese culture.

During the interval of the performance, the audience actively participated in the interaction of Chinese Medicine and experienced Chinese culture. Wan Quanqing, the chief physician of the third Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Traditional Chinese Medicine University and director of Zhejiang Intervertebral Disc Clinic Center, combined with the on-site cases and demonstrated superb techniques for the audience.

Since its launch in 2016, the Confucius Institute of Azerbaijan Language University has established five teaching points and successfully organized more than 100 cultural activities with clear themes and distinctive features. More than 17,000 people have participated in the activities, which have exerted considerable influence in the local area. The "Confucius Institute Day" is not only a festival for Confucius Institutes around the world, but also the best summary about the works of the Confucius Institute of Azerbaijan Language University in the past two years. It also blew the horn of Confucius Institute to a new stage of development. Many local people expressed their strong desire to learn Chinese and their deep longings for Chinese culture.
