At 10:00a.m. on May 13th, 2018, the third Baku Marathon (Ba Ma) officially started running, and nearly 20 thousand athletes from many countries took part in the marathon. The "Bama" competition was a half-marathon with a total length of 21 kilometers and it was sponsored by the Gaidar Aliyev foundation. The theme was that "win the wind". The starting point was Baku national flag Plaza, and it was ended at Ollie Peak Stadium in Baku.

On the morning of 13th, the slogan "win the wind" was seen everywhere in Baku's National Flag Plaza. Baku was totally immersed in the joyous atmosphere of this grand ceremony. The athletes at the scene took out their mobile phones to record the wonderful moment.

After more than three hours of struggling, the teachers of the Confucius Institute arrived the ending point. Although it was the first time for everyone.to join the marathon, and exposed to the sun and the wind, but no one gave up, and stood up to a great test. They encouraged each other to finish the race.

The 2018 Bama competition ended, and the teachers experienced the joy and achievement. More importantly, everyone realized that the marathon was involved in the speed, the spirit, the health, and the happiness!
