On May 12th, Azerbaijan State University of Baku held the final of the 17th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for the worldwide college students
Chinese ambassador plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan, Mr. Wei Jinghua, attended the opening ceremony and delivered an opening speech. The Chinese dean of the Confucius Institute at Azerbaijan University of Languages, Ms. Li Jihua along with the representatives of the Chinese embassy and representatives of Chinese companies acted as the judges.

Fatima Mammadova, a first-year student and Telman Guseynov, a third-year student, both majoring in Chinese Studies of Azerbaijani University of Languages, participated the competition.

The theme of the competition was "One
World". Fatima Mammadova and Telman Guseynov successfully completed the speech, question and answer, talent show and other competition sessions.
Talent show
Finally, Fatima Mammadova won the third prize, and Telman Guseynov won the winning prize. The Azerbaijani Presidential Academy players won the champion and runner-up in the "Chinese Bridge" final.
Awards moment
After the contest, the two students expressed their gratitude to the hard work of the instructors of Confucius Institute. Due to the training of the previous period, their expressional ability and knowledge level had been greatly improved. Through the competition, they gained experience and found out their shortages. They will continue to study harder to achieve better results in the future.
