1. Course Description
HSK training course is designed to meet the needs of students with different levels of Chinese language. Consisting of six levels, the course corresponds with the six examination levels of HSK. Focusing on improving student’s language skills in areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing, the course aims to guarantee students’ HSK scores with carefully selected training materials based on various language proficiency and learning requirements.
2. Duration
Level 3 and Level 4： 72 hours in total， 4 hours per week；
Level 5 and Level 6： 72 hours in total， 4 hours per week
3. Course Goals
HSK Level 1-3
HSK Level 1-3 is designed for students who:
1. have learned Chinese for around half a year.
2. have acquired 400-1000 basic Chinese characters.
3. have a working knowledge of basic HSK grammar.
4. have prepared to attend the HSK examination of level1、2、3.
HSK Level 4
HSK Level 4 is designed for students who:
1. have learned Chinese for 100-800 hours of regular courses and have a basic Chinese proficiency (or the equivalent).
2. have acquired 400-3000 basic Chinese characters.
3. have a working knowledge of HSK level A and level B grammar.
4. have prepared to attend the HSK examination of level 4.
HSK Level 5 (Lower Intermediate/Intermediate level)
HSK Level 5 is designed for students who:
1. have reached the lower/intermediate level and learned Chinese for 400-2000 hours of regular Chinese language courses (or the equivalent).
2. have acquired 2000-5000 basic Chinese characters (HSK glossary Level A, B, and C).
3. have been familiar with the HSK Level A, B, and C grammar.
4. have prepared to attend the HSK examination of level 5.
HSK Level 6 (Advanced level)
HSK Level 6 is designed for students who:
1. have reached the advanced level and learned Chinese for 3000 hours of regular Chinese language courses (or the equivalent).
2. have acquired 5000-8000 basic Chinese characters (HSK glossary Level A, B, C and D).
3. have been familiar with the HSK Level A, B, C and D grammar.
4. have prepared to attend the HSK examination of level 6.

6. Examination and Performance Calculation
Final examination at end of each semester. The overall course grade will be 40% final written examination, 20% ordinary achievement, 20% attendance and 20% homework performance.
